Brittney Northcott graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice. Whilst at WAAPA, she performed a variety of roles, including Cherubino and Marcellina in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, The Old Woman in The Enchanted Pig by Jonathan Dove and chorus in Hänsel und Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck.
Brittney has performed in several sacred works, including Vivaldi's Gloria and Vierne's Les Angélus, where she was a soloist, and Mozart's Coronation Mass, Gounod's Messe de Saint Cécile, and Handel's Messiah.
In 2024, she was selected as an artist for the Lisa Gasteen National Opera Program where she was extensively coached on Italian recitative. Brittney has recently started the Masters of Opera Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and is currently preparing for the role of Nerone in Monteverdi’s L'incoronazione di Poppea.
