DONATE TO support the next generation of
australian opera STARS

Opera Scholars Australia is a not-for-profit arts organisation providing a unique pathway program for emerging singers in Naarm/Melbourne. For over twenty years we’ve provided young artists with access to a highly sophisticated creative program, receiving stage training, regular performances and opportunities to collaborate with industry professionals.

Importantly, we’ve broken down the barriers of cost to participate in these year-long programs by ensuring our annual fees are accessible and provide artists with the continuity of skills and experience that will place them in excellent stead to excel in the world of music. Each scholar receives around $10,000 investment across coachings, concerts, education and touring. To best prepare them for our evolving industry, we invite key practitioners including fight/stunt coordinators, movement directors and choreographers, intimacy coordinators and professional singers to guide and shape their experiences and scaffold their journey towards becoming an established professional artist. The annual fee for each participant in 2026 is $800 for the supplementary ensemble and $1500 for our graduate, which is why your donation is vital, now more than ever.

To ensure that OSA has capacity to provide this ongoing opportunity in 2027 and beyond, we need your generosity. Your donation, large or small, contributes to our program and operational costs and keeps us reaching higher.

“Opera Scholars has transformed my confidence and given me so much more than singing coaching. I’ve been able to find my voice as an artist and develop my stage craft to feel ready for auditions and engaging in the industry at large”

- OSA scholar, 2025
