SOPRANO
RECIPIENT OF THE TIM & ARIEL ARNOTT SCHOLARSHIP
Harmony is a soprano who is currently in her third year with Opera Scholars Australia and is under the tutelage of opera singer, Suzanne Johnston. In 2018 she was the recipient of the Maroondah Singers scholarship and in 2019 she received a scholarship with the Melbourne Bach Choir.
Harmony had her first professional engagement in Victorian Opera’s Cunning Little Vixen at the age of 17, in the same year she was a chorus member for their youth opera production of Second Hurricane. She also placed 1st in the National Liederfest Secondary School student section. In 2019, Harmony travelled to South Australia and performed in the youth chorus for the State Opera of South Australia’s production of Boojum! She also understudied a main role in Victorian Opera’s youth opera The Selfish Giant.
Harmony performs regularly with OSA, at concerts and private engagements, busks in Melbourne and on the Mornington Peninsula, performs at nursing homes and for charity organisations such as ‘I Matter’ Foundation, who provide self-defence classes for domestic violence victims.
When Harmony is not performing, she enjoys playing and teaching her violin which she has played since she was 9. Harmony is also trained in karate where she holds a 2nd degree black belt and teaches children and women’s self-defence classes.
