Hartley is a Melbourne-based tenor from Perth, Western Australia.
He graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2020 with a Bachelor of Music (Classical Vocal Performance), before completing his Master of Music (Opera Performance) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2024.
Hartley’s performance credits include the roles of Monostatos (Die Zauberflöte), Lysander (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Oberon and Autumn (The Fairy Queen) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Pluto (Orpheus in the Underworld), Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), and Chorus in ‘Cendrillon’, and ‘Les Mamelles de Tirésias’ at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, as well as Ensemble in Victorian Opera’s The Selfish Giant and Grump 2/Ensemble in The Grumpiest Boy in the World.
Prior to commencing his vocal training, Hartley trained as a classical ballet dancer at the WA Conservatoire of Classical Ballet.
