BARITONE
Isaac Burgess (He/him) is an emerging Baritone from Melbourne, Victoria. He has had vocal training at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music completing a Bachelor of Music (Performance) in 2024 and is currently undertaking Master of Music (Opera Performance).
While training, he performed Ensemble roles in both The Selfish Giant (2022) and The Grumpiest Boy in the World (2023) with the Victorian Opera, as well as Dritte Vasall in the Melbourne Opera production Götterdämmerung (2023).
He has featured in productions staged by the University of Melbourne, performing the role of Starveling in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2022) and an Ensemble role and cover for Priest in Die Zauberföte (2023).
His latest performances include the role of Mr. Gobineau in the opera The Medium and David in A Hand of Bridge (2024), both staged by the Master of Music (Opera Performance) program. Isaac is very excited to be a part of the Opera Scholars Australia program for 2024.
