JESSICA CLANCY
SOPRANO
After graduating from WAAPA in 2018 with degrees in both Musical Theatre and Contemporary Music, Jessica toured the country with her self-devised cabaret Golden Age Girls, winning the ‘Best Cabaret Award’ at the Perth Fringe Festival. She then performed alongside Australian soprano Mirusia Louwerse in the world premier of MIMMA, a Musical of War and Friendship, as well as in the world premier of the Victorian Opera’s The Selfish Giant. A writer as well as a performer, Jessica has been signed to Sony Music as part of an indie pop band and has toured the country with acts such as Imagine Dragons. She is currently working on a solo single to be released later this year as well as studying with the acclaimed Opera Scholars Australia. While in isolation, Jessica is writing two musical comedies which will be workshopped at the Hayes Theatre (Sydney) in May.
