GRADUATE

SOPRANO

Lily Flynn is a classical singer and composer currently completing her Honours degree in Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium. Her experience as a soloist and ensemble singer across Melbourne is vast and diverse, having most recently sung as a soprano soloist in 2024 with groups such as Astra Chamber Choir, NYCA, Ascolta Qui and Divisi Chamber, and performed as a chorus member in the Melbourne University Master’s production of Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel 2024. Throughout her Bachelors’ she performed in Melbourne University Masters’ productions of Britten’s A Midsummer Night's Dream as Peaseblossom, as well as their 2023 production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte as a cover for First Spirit, and graduated with the Grace Durling Award. This year, she has been selected as an Emerging Artist for the 2025 season with the Song Company and is to be a Graduate member of Opera Scholars Australia 2025. While her love for music is rooted in composition and Anglican choral singing, her passion for Opera and Art Song was developed at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School where she studied with Timothy Reynolds for four years, and occasionally with Carrie Barr and Dermot Tutty. Alongside her Bachelor she studied with Suzanne Johnston and now studies with Anna Connolly while completing her Honours. Under her guidance she aspires to develop a career in recital and consort singing, composition and operatic performance
