TENOR
Yu-Tien Lin (Denny) is a classically trained tenor from China, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Carrie Barr.
Yu-Tien's 2022 was a musically fulfilled year, his operatic engagements include Francis Flute in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream at MCM, and Pluto in Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld by Victorian Opera Youth Chorus Ensemble (VOYCE). He also performed as a choir member in Melbourne Bach Choir's 2022 season, a soloist and choir member in VOYCE's showcase concert, MCM's Early Voice Concert, and an ensemble member in the music project Echolalia by Genevieve Lacey and Erkki Veltheim.
During Yu-Tien's music degree, he received Nellie Melba Prize (2021), the Cassidy Bequest Scholarship (2022) and Melbourne Bach Choir Singing Scholarship and partial Conducting Scholarship (2022). Yu-Tien is excited to further hone his craft in Opera Scholars Australia's 2023 season.
