SUPPLEMENTARY

Melbourne-based Soprano Alice Dagwell is currently completing her Honours year within her Bachelor of Music, Voice Performance degree at The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (MCM) under the guidance of Heather Brooks-Fletcher.

Throughout her studies Alice has been involved in the MCM’s Chamber Choir, led by Nick Dinopoulos, and Vocal Ensemble, led by Andrea Katz, where she most recently performed excerpts of the role Adele from ‘Die Fledermaus.’

Alice has also performed as chorus and featured ensemble in the MCM’s Masters of Opera Performance 2025 production of Massenet’s ‘Cendrillon’, directed by Johanna Allen. She will be returning to the Masters production this year as Chorus/Sister Dolcina in Puccini’s ‘Suor Angelica.’

Musical theatre is an essential part of Alice’s artistry, contributing to her own expression and versatility as a performer. Her most recent theatre credits include Elle Woods in ‘Legally Blonde’ (St Hilda’s College Theatre Group) and the roles of Alice Beineke and Wednesday Addams in ’The Addams Family’ (St Hilda’s College Theatre Group).

With a keen interest in academia, Alice had the opportunity to present her undergraduate research on Australian voice performance at the 2025 MCM Undergraduate Music Research Symposium.

Alice is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium’s Young Conservatorium Program for classical voice (2016-2022). Upon commencing her studies at The Melbourne Conservatorium in 2023, Alice was fortunate enough to receive the Lorna Lloyd-Green Performing Arts Scholarship at St Hilda’s College (2023, 2024).
