AMANDA Hargreaves

SOPRANO

Amanda Hargreaves graduated with a Bachelor of Music (voice) from the University of Melbourne in 2019 with first-class honours. Throughout her time in the Conservatorium, Amanda worked with of some of the best-known teachers in the industry and was hand selected to perform in masterclasses with international director, Andrew Sinclair and vocal pedagogy pioneer, Stephen Austin. She also performed in many University productions, including Puccini’s Suor Angelica (Suor Osmina), Vivaldi’s Gloria (dance soloist), Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites (Sister Alice) and Orpheus in the Underworld. This production was alongside the Master of Opera Students, an opera which she also co-choreographed with her sister, Samantha. She has been a guest performer with Ensemble Ancien for Ballarat’s Four Seasons Festival of Fine Music, a soloist for the Candlelight VOX choir and cantor for the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church choir. This year she continues her studies in voice as an honours student and as a scholar with Opera Scholars Australia.
