EAMON DOOLEY - secondo

BARITONE

Eamon Dooley is a Baritone from Anglesea Victoria with an extensive background as a choral singer and soloist. He has sung for the Alchemy Consort, the National Youth Choir of Australia, as principal bass for the Choir of Newman College, and as a freelance choral performer. In January 2023 and 2024 Eamon performed as a soloist for the opening concert of the Organs of Ballarat Goldfields Festival.

Recent operatic roles include Baburov in Victorian Opera’s production of Shostakovich’s Melbourne, Cheremushki (Arts Centre Melbourne, 2023), and Mr Waa in Short Black Opera’s production of Cheetham’s Parrwang Lifts the Sky (Arts Centre Melbourne, 2023).

Over the past year Eamon has performed as part of the Victorian Opera Chorus appearing in Rossini’s La Cenerentola (Tasmanian Tour 2022 & Recital Centre 2023), Strauss’s Capriccio (Palais Theatre, 2023), and most recently Bernstein’s Candide (Palais Theatre, 2024).

Eamon studied at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, completing a concurrent Diploma in Music Performance with first class honours while studying a Bachelor of Design. He is excited to continue as a member of the OSA Secondo program into 2024.
