SUPPLEMENTARY
Eleni Gerostamoulos is a Melbourne-based soprano whose lifelong love of singing has been deeply shaped by the musical traditions of her Greek heritage. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (MCM), under the tutelage of Linda Barcan.
In recent years, Eleni has developed a strong affinity for opera, drawn to its emotional depth and expressive storytelling. Her work with the Early Voices Choir under Stephen Grant and the Vocal Ensemble under Andrea Katz at the MCM has further strengthened her commitment to the art form. In recognition of her excellence, she was awarded the Mona McCaughey – Elise Weiderman Scholarship at the MCM in 2025. In 2026, Eleni will perform in the ensemble of Puccini’s Suor Angelica at the MCM as part of the Masters of Opera Performance program.
Eleni’s classical foundation was established through years of vocal and violin training at Wesley College Melbourne, where she performed extensively in chamber and symphony orchestras, as well as a wide range of choral ensembles.
Alongside her classical pursuits, Eleni maintains a vibrant presence in musical theatre. She currently serves as Equity and Access Officer for the University of Melbourne Music Theatre Association and recently starred as Cinderella in its 2025 production of Into the Woods, earning a Commendation from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria. From 2016–2023, she was a featured soloist with the Young Australian Broadway Chorus as a member of the most advanced ensemble, the Triple Threats. Her recent leading roles with the Adamson Theatre Company include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (2024) and Wednesday in The Addams Family (2023).
Eleni warmly welcomes the opportunity to further explore her operatic potential through Opera Scholars Australia.
