Gemma Livingstone is a soprano, actor and director from Melbourne, Victoria. Her credits span across theatre, classical and contemporary music. She graduated Monash University with a double degree of a Bachelor of Arts and bachelor of Music in 2023 and finished her Music Honours at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2024.
She is a regular performer at Monash University events, singing the national anthem and the acknowledgement of country, Long Time Living here, in the boonwurrung language. As a performer, she has been praised for her engaging stage presence and rich and warm tone.
Gemma is also an intuitive director with a love for storytelling; she has received praise for her work as both “endearing” (The Age) and “ambitious” (Theatre Travels). Gemma’s natural humour and compassion shine through her work that centres the human experience. Her stage credits include “Lydia” in For Mother (Malvern Theatre Company) “Cinderella” in Into the Woods (MUST) and “Bekken” in Kill Climate Deniers. Come Christmas time, Gemma enjoys freelance carolling and can be seen in the Carols by Candlelight choir.
