jesse linke - secondo

SOPRANO

South African-Australian Soprano Jesse Linke is a graduate from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and has completed postgraduate studies in Opera Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. 

In 2023 Jesse won the inaugural OSA Art Song Award and was a finalist of the OSA Aria Award. In June she made her Victorian Opera debut, appearing in Joseph Twist’s children’s opera The Grumpiest Boy in the World.

Jesse has performed as a soloist for Freeze Frame Opera, Bloomhouse Projects, Perth Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Pops Orchestra and the Perth Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. At WAAPA she sang Juno (Orpheus in the Underworld) and Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance). 

At the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, she was cast in scenes as Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Tatyana (Eugene Onegin) and Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), performed as a finalist in the annual concerto competition and made her role debut as Pamina in their 2023 production of The Magic Flute

In 2024 Jesse is a Melba Opera Trust Artist and is the recipient of The Amelia Joscelyne Memorial Scholarship.
