SUPPLEMENTARY

Joshua Vass is an Australian tenor establishing himself as a compelling young artist across opera and commercial performance. He has appeared with Opera Australia in productions of La Bohème, Tosca and King Roger, which received the Green Room Award for Production of the Year. With Victorian Opera, he has performed in Boojum, Orpheus in the Underworld, The Grumpiest Boy in the World and The Friends of Salamanca and was a member of the company’s Youth Chorus Ensemble program (VOYCE).

Internationally, Joshua performed at Universal Studios Japan in the award-winning production The Voice of an Angel, recipient of the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best Theatrical Production. He also appeared with the Gordon Frost Organisation in The Sound of Music. More recently, he returned to Universal Studios Japan as part of the Harry Potter cast, bringing vocal versatility to the production, incorporating contemporary vocal technique and elements of beatboxing within a theatrical setting.

He began his training with the Australian Boys Choir, touring internationally to New Zealand and Europe, as well as extensively throughout Australia. He was also a member of The Vocal Consort and has sung with St James' Old Cathedral, developing a strong foundation in ensemble and sacred repertoire.

A graduate of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Joshua combines strong musicianship with a bright lyric tenor quality, positioning him as an emerging artist within Australia’s professional operatic landscape.
