Noah Straughan is a Melbourne-based Baritone and holds a Master of Music (Opera Performance) and a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (MCM).
Noah has been a member of Opera Scholars Australia since 2023 and trains under Roxane Hislop. During his studies, Noah performed “The Father” in Humperdink’s Hänsel und Gretel (MCM), “The Speaker” and “Papageno” (u/s) in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (MCM), “Toby” and “Mr Gobineau” in Menotti’s The Medium (MCM), and “Dad” in Twist’s The Grumpiest Boy in the World (Victorian Opera and MCM). His other Victorian Opera credits include their recent productions of Boojum! (Wesley-Smith), Cheremushki (Shostakovich) and Parrwang Lifts the Sky (Cheetham-Fraillon). Noah made his debut with Lyster Opera in their 2023 production of Flotow’s Martha.
In 2024 he was the bass soloist in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle with the Ballarat Choral Society. In 2025 Noah studied an Italian language course at the Università per stranieri di Siena in Siena, Italy. Later this year, Noah will be performing again with Lyster Opera as ‘Masetto’ in their touring production of Don Giovanni.
