ROSEMARY COCKLIN

SOPRANO

Rosie holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. She has received multiple accolades including being a finalist in the National Liederfest, where she received the Merlyn Quaife award.

Notable roles include Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Polly Peachum in The Threepenny Opera and Audrey in The Little Shop Of Horrors. In 2017 Rosie made her opera debut in Aaron Copeland’s The Second Hurricane with Victorian Youth Opera.

2018 saw Rosie perform in Victorian Opera’s William Tell, as the soloist in Fauré’s Requiem, and as soprano soloist in the Australian Premiere of Sir Karl Jenkins’ Cantata Memoria with The Gisborne Singers.

As well as performing, Rosie is a passionate advocator of the arts and musical education, particular in the not-for-profit sector. She is the founder and curator of ‘The Youth Of Today’ ensemble.
